Note: Brain dumps are not articles, they are just thought that I find worthy of sharing. Some will be short like this one, others will be long and convoluted. Bear with me šŸ™‚.

Over the past few months, Iā€™ve really enjoyed using ChatGPT as a sparring partner for ideation sessionsā€”almost like a Socratic dialogue, where it isnā€™t allowed to give me direct answers but can only ask questions and challenge my thinking.

What makes this even more interesting is using live audio conversations (Advanced Audio) during my commute. Itā€™s the perfect alternative for those moments when itā€™s too earlyā€”or just inconsiderateā€”to call a friend at 8 AM to randomly debate why some developers struggle with adopting CQRS.

Itā€™s such a simple use case, yet incredibly powerful in a world where we spend less time than ever just thinking. A few times now, ChatGPT has asked such a deep question that it took me days of introspection before I could return with a satisfying answer and continue the conversation. Right now, I have an open question thatā€™s making me rethink my entire approach to career growthā€”and Iā€™ve been stuck on it for two weeks. šŸ„²

Anyway, if you havenā€™t tried it yet, give it a shot! You might be surprised by where your own thoughts take you.
